Leviticus Billups-Alumni Vice President

Leviticus is married to his college sweetheart, Stephanie Randolph Billups (UWA Alum) and they currently reside in Huntsville, Alabama. 

Leviticus obtained his undergraduate degree in Accounting at the University of West Alabama and later studied at the University of Phoenix where he received a Master’s Degree in Administration of Justice and Security.

While obtaining the undergraduate degree, Leviticus served in the Alabama Army National Guard as a Military Policeman, which led to him serving an eight-teen month tour in Germany. While serving in the National Guard Leviticus was recognized as the 31St Chemical Brigade 2003 Soldier of the Year.

Prior to joining the IRS, Leviticus worked as the Accounting Specialist for the University of West Alabama Foundation, where he was responsible for managing over 100 university fundraising accounts and or projects. While working as the Accounting Specialist, he also served on the Executive Planning Committee which was responsible for guiding the university through a fifth-teen million dollar capital campaign.

After spending what seemed like a decade at UWA, Leviticus moved on to become an Internal Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Services’ Small Business and Self Employed Division with the responsibility for examining small business and self-employed individuals tax returns. While serving in this role Leviticus was recognized by the Houston CPA Society, with the Excellent Service Award. 

Leviticus is currently a Special Agent for the Internal Revenue Services’ Criminal Investigation Division with the responsibility for conducting investigations of potential criminal violations for the Internal Revenue Code and related financial crimes.

In his current role with IRS, Leviticus also serves as the Recruiting Coordinator and Public Information Officer for Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Leviticus also has served as a coach with AIM-IRS Career Awareness Mentoring Program, a mentor with the National Association of Black Accountants’ Accounting Career Awareness Program and the ministry leader for the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. Leviticus also devotes time to coaching youth basketball. Leviticus is a recent graduate of Cohort X of the Tennessee Valley Diversity Leadership Colloquium.
