Tony McElyea-Alumni Parliamentarian

Hello, my name is Tony McElyea and I am a Lieutenant for the 1st West Shift Commander for the Incident Response Team with the Huntsville Police Department.  I am forty-one years old and a graduate of DLC Cohort X. I have served the citizens of Huntsville for the past seventeen years as a Huntsville Police Officer. I currently hold the rank of Lieutenant and have been in supervision for the past six years. I have spent most of my law enforcement career as a member of the North Alabama Task Force as a narcotics agent, and most recently as the task force commander. I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful daughters. In my free time I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family, physical activity, and working on building relationships in the community. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Diversity leadership Colloquium course. I truly believe is diversity in the workplace and have made many contacts through DLC that have continued over the past three years. I look forward to serving on the Executive Committee while continuing to serve the citizens of this great city moving forward.
